Putting My Best Face Foward
BEAUTY CONFESSION: It has literally been a year since I received a facial/laser/peel/anything on my mug because… COVID. Relatable? I’m sure! So allow me to describe the current state of my face for you all: My pores are the size of dimes, my skin’s texture feels rough AF, and a ruddy undertone has taken over my cheeks compliments of all my morning walks under the sun. Oh, and did I mention I have acne scars on my chin? NO BUENO, KIDS.
So you can only imagine my utter delight when Miami-based celebrity aesthetician Amy Peterson invited me into her practice earlier this month for THE WORKS.
Amy has been at the forefront of dermatology treatments since she first opened her practice in Seattle in 2007. The results of the pain-free (thank you, numbing cream) quartet? After a sunburn/sand paper-y feeling for three days, my skin is positively glowing. My skin tone is more even, the texture is tighter and there’s a radiance to my complexion.
